Rocking prints can be a tricky game to play.  Especially when the prints are large, busy or colorful.  Pairing bold prints with basic pieces can give you the flexibility to rock your fun pieces in a variety of settings.  For a more conservative look, you may consider wearing one piece with a two-color print like this black & white print midi skirt from Forever 21.

For the winter season, I decided to pair this bold print skirt with a black blazer I snagged from Target on clearance for $10.49, black patterned tights from TJ Maxx for $3.99, and black round-toe leather pumps from Aldo’s I also snagged on clearance for $20.  The black doesn’t fight for attention and lets the skirt be the star.  Under the black blazer, I just wore a small pop of color with this Anne Taylor dressy tee in coral that was thrifted for $1.49.  With this black handbag from Forever 21, I’m keeping it sharp.
