Working on a Sunday

This Sunday was very busy for me. I headed to Washington, DC to cover the Fashion Rocks 2K14 fashion show presented by Antoine Anderson. Before that, I attended the Fashion Blogger United meet and greet event. This event was an opportunity to network with fashion bloggers and professionals in the DMV area. Both events were great, but it definitely made for a long work day. Getting on the road early for a 4 hour drive, moving and shaking for almost 8 hours, and then driving back. No excuse to not be stylish though.

Style tip: When combining several neutral colors into one look, choose one color for a pop – in this instance I used red. When wearing one neutral color for your overall look, you can choose several different pops of color.

Fortunately the weather was nice, but I always like to wear layering pieces just in case. Temperatures drop when you go later into the evening, and you never know what the temperature inside of a venue will be like. While the first event’s venue was chilly, the second event’s venue was warm, so fortunately being able to put on or take off a layer or two helps. Thanks to Naptural Nicole’s husband – we don’t know his name, we all just call him The Hubbin – for the pictures!
