While visiting the newly opened West Elm store in Virginia Beach, I was overwhelmed by the amount of gorgeous home decor pieces. I’ll have a post featuring tons of photos from the store. There were so many things that I wanted to buy. I actually asked if I could just move into the store, but they don’t have a functional kitchen – drat! I had to share with you all some of what I want from West Elm to help me redecorate my home office space.
My home office had become a hodgepodge of mismatched pieces from over the years. Pieces that didn’t quite fit anywhere else, but I don’t want to part ways with. Well no more! I recently ditched the oldies but goodies, and decided it’s time to give the space a clean, fresh start. This is the space where I often create these blog posts and record videos for my YouTube channel, and I just like it when my living spaces look chic. Not just the ones people see when they come over to visit, but my personal spaces as well.
What I do love about West Elm is that the store displays several different ways to use the items they sell. Another thing I love is that many of the decor pieces are unique and handcrafted. Why is this a good thing? Because not everyone reading this post or visiting West Elm for decor inspiration is going to find the all of pieces in their price point.
And that’s okay. I feel your pain because I am a budgetnista too! Not to worry. What you can do is find those smaller pieces that you absolutely love and know you won’t find somewhere else, and add those to your space. Here are some of the unique pieces that I found that I want to add to my spaces.
I love dogs and this adorable dog statue it super fun and chic. Maybe you are a dog lover but have pet allergies or just can’t have a pet of your own. This dog is perfect. It doesn’t have fur, you don’t have to feed it, and you don’t have to walk it!
I absolutely fell in love with these handcrafted pottery pieces. I actually purchased this one, and I plan to use it as a planter. I’ll be showing you all how I’m adding it to my office space soon so stay tuned for that post.
These silver birds (doves maybe – I clearly don’t know my birds lol) are such a soft touch. They instantly add a casual feel to any space, but the brushed silver finish is very chic.
How cool is this planter? The great thing about it, is that West Elm also sells the air plants that are inside. So if you really like this exactly how it is, you can buy the whole thing. That pop of red is super chic against the planter and other neutral toned pieces.
Now that you know what pieces I’d love to add to my home decor, tell me what pieces would you like to add to yours?
