The weather here in Virginia is still undecided. Whether to stay Winter or move on in to Spring is still being debated it seems, but summer is coming up just around the corner. When the seasons change, it is always a great time to spruce up your home decor. I involuntarily have a red sofa now, thanks to Mr. Blakes, and trying to find pieces to match has been a hassle. We’ve been using folding dinner trays as coffee and end tables, and a couple of my parent’s old dining room chairs for seating. The struggle is real. When Kelsey at Bond PR reached out about arranging a special preview of the West Elm summer collection at their Virginia Beach location, I was ready to sign up.
From outdoor living and entertaining, to small decorative touches – West Elm’s summer assortment has stylish pieces for home and outdoor spaces. Not only does West Elm carry chic yet comfy home decor, they also offer in store and in home styling assistance so you don’t have to go at it alone. Last year, we were invited to the store’s grand opening celebration and fell in love from that moment. The theme for the West Elm summer collection is dessert comfy, so there were lots of aztec patterns and pops of color. But since this store is near the beach, there is still a coastal feel for the pieces that are in this store. #keepitcoastal (it will make sense when you watch the Periscope video).
Check out some of my favorite things and inspirations from the private preview, as well as my preview tour that I shared live on Periscope (follow us there @NaturallyGlamTV). Be sure to follow the West Elm Virginia Beach store on Instagram for sales and event updates.
