Wash day seems to be on one the most feared days in the life of a naturalista or naturalista-to-be. The thought of spending hours on your hair is rather daunting, and for me, unnecessary. My wash day routine is simple – cleanse, condition, and style. From start to finish, I spend a maximum of two hours on my hair. When you can find a product line that has amazing ingredients like OBIA Naturals, then you don’t necessarily need any extras items or extra steps.
Here’s my wash day routine using OBIA Naturals hair care products. I used the Neem & Tea Trea shampoo bar, Babassu deep conditioner, Curl Moisture Cream, and Twist Whip Butter – that’s it. I did blow dry my hair prior to twisting, but that is totally optional and would cut down on the time as well. These products are so good, so you definitely should give them a try if you’re in the market for some healthy hair care products.
For this product review video, I wanted to show not only how good the products worked but provide you all an example of a simple wash day routine. It had been about three weeks since I washed my hair last, so a wash day was long overdue. But I only had about two hours to get it all done. So this shows that it is totally possible to complete your wash day routine in a couple of hours, even if you have a lot of thick, dense, tightly coiled hair.
[question]So how long does is your wash day routine? Tell us below in the comments, and let us know what your favorite product line is to use on wash day. We’d love to hear from you![/question]
I wash my daughters hair every two weeks I am still kind of old school with products because to many new things on the market confuses me but the routine for her takes 3 hrs…its not a fun process for either of us
Sounds like it works really well. I don’t have natural hair, but I’ll keep this in mind for my natural friends.
Great video.. I need to attend next year.. your hair looks great…
Usual my process takes about an hour or so depending on what I am doing with my hair. Your hair looks nice.
I love Argan Oil and I am an avid K-Pak. I haven’t heard of Obia but I will look into this, as I am always looking to maintain healthy hair.
I am always looking for new products and routines to try with my daughter’s hair. Right now I break it up into two days for my sanity. I’m in the market to purchase new hair products. I’m not brand loyal so we will give this brand a try.
Yeah wash day has become more of a chore for me. I have to do my daughters hair and my hair! But, it must be done! You have it down to a science.
I wash my hair pretty frequently especially in the summer so my routine is straight to the point. It takes me about half hour. I can’t commit more time to my hair with two young children. I usually prepoo before washing.
Girl, today was supposed to be wash day but I got lazy. I’m all for easy and quick! I have never heard of these products and have always wanted to try a shampoo bar so will check it out!
I have never heard of these, but these look like great products. Great video!
I make it simple, I keep my hair in braids or other protective styles as much as possible, and my wash routine is pretty much around 2 hours too…I do not have time to waste doing extravagant styles, lol…this was awesome, thanks for sharing
I need to settle in on a routine but I wash my hair often because I workout a lot and my hair is always so dry so I keep it wet/conditioned/oiled. Going to check into this line.
I am so bad at having a regular wash routine for myself. I always put it off until I just can’t wait any longer. I am good at washing my daughter’s consistently. Looks like you have a great routine that works for you.
