Naturally Glam covered Fashion Gallery’s New York Fashion Week 2015 shows for Fall/Winter. Tia Pion‘s Chromatical Era collection was featured during the Emerging Designers show. Presently in her senior year at Philadelphia University, her designs feature unexpected prints and shapes, and often use humor to convey her aesthetic.
Created as a Senior year capstone project and first collection at Philadelphia University, Chromatical Era is inspired by the paintings of Wayne Theibaud. The prints included are mostly original and were printed in the inkjet printing lab at Philadelphia University. Most other fabrications were recycled from vintage home goods and clothes, in an effort to lessen the environmental effects.
Impressive! Creative and well thought of. Functional and fun with brilliant color as well as the mixing of the shapes and prints. Looks like a hit to me!
