Now that I’ve settled into my second trimester, I have a lot more energy than before. My doctor encouraged me to start to get active once I was feeling better, which is always important to do. I was ready to hit the gym – until I realized I couldn’t fit even my oversized workout gear. Thanks to the folks at Love and Fit, they sent me a couple of their best sellers to try and share with you all.
What I wear to workout in is so key for me. Looking cute is very motivating! Having a growing baby bump creates a challenge I hadn’t anticipated because just wearing something oversized is not always functional – and definitely isn’t cute. Love and Fit has you covered with stylish and function workout apparel for pregnant, postpartum, and nursing moms. I received the Strappy Back Nursing sports bra and the Pre2Post Capri leggings. How cute are these?!
Now that I have some functional activewear, I asked my doctor what type of exercises were safe, and for me, she said I was okay to do some low impact cardio and strength training. Her recommendation was to keep the weight under 15 pounds. While I prefer going to the gym, working out at home is a bit more convenient. I also like to enjoy the breeze and sun when the weather is good.
I remembered I had a 10 pound kettlebell that I never used, and decided to put it to work on the days I can’t quite make it out to the gym. I take my workout outdoors in the mornings on the weekend, just to get some fresh air and sunshine. Check out my pregnancy kettlebell workout routine in this video! It’s a great workout whether you’re pregnant or not.
What types of workouts did you enjoy while pregnant? Any that you’d recommend? Let me know in the comments!
I need a light kettlebell workout cause I never use mine. I am going to share this with my friend… She has a baby due soon.
So funny, I just saw this top at a festival and thought it was so cute! It also looks really nice under a tank top, gives it a little edge.
I love to see women stay active during pregnancy! You look so cute I love the workout gear especially the strappy back sports bra. Glad you’re gaining more energy that first trimester is no joke.
You look so cute showing off your baby bump. You inspire me to go out and get a kettleball for myself. I could use another way to workout.
I was terrible, my workouts only consisted of food. With my son I was trying to pack on some lbs. With my daughter I could hardly eat so I wasn’t exercising.
I did not workout at all during my two pregnancies. Listen I need a good workout routine now so I think I will try Kettlebells. They always have them at Marshalls.
I haven’t been pregnant but this is inspiring it motivates me to work out more no excuses go mama you look good in those activewear.
These clothes from love and Fit are super cute! I love the idea of trying not to gain more than 15 lbs and looking forward to seeing how that works out for you!
I’m going to be honest when I was pregnant I didn’t work out. The most I did was do a lot of walking. I loving seeing moms staying fit though.
You look amazing! My workout while pregnant was…. not to work out. I didn’t do anything but eat and be on bed rest for the most part. I wish I could have been more active.
That workout gear looks so amazing on you. This kettlebell looks amazing and looks like a great exercise option for pregnant women.
I wish I worked out when I was pregnant. This is going to help make your labor easy as pie!
