Between the WW Instagram page and the in-app What’s In Your Fridge feature, I’ve been trying some of the WW recipes. My goal is to try 3-4 recipe each month to add some variety to my eating plan. If I love it, I’ll share it here on the blog.
Here are the WW recipes that I tried this month and loved! I’ve linked to each recipe on the WW website so that you can check out the recipe and see the SmartPoints value based on your WW program.
Chicken Marsala
I love mushrooms, but typically eat them with beef and not chicken. I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved this dish. I even used a Cense red wine I had on hand. Delicious! I’ve made this recipe a couple times this month.
Pumpkin Dump Cake
I discovered a random can of pumpkin in my pantry and had no clue what to do with it. Seeing this recipe on the WW IG page is what got me to try it once I saw that canned pumpkin was on the ingredient list. I made this twice this month, and I ate it cold and warm. So good! The first time (pictured) I used regular cake mix, and while it was good, the gluten got to me. So I tried a gluten free cake mix, and it turned out exactly the same without the stomach issues.
Chicken, Mushroom, and Brown Rice Slow Cooker Casserole
I plugged chicken and mushrooms in to the What’s In My Fridge feature, and when this popped up, I wasn’t sure. I’d never cooked with leeks, and wasn’t sure my local Walmart would have them (I order Walmart Grocery pickup once or twice a week now). But they did! So I took the leap and tried it because my husband loves casseroles. This was so good! I only made it once but it will be a go-to casserole from now on.
Old-fashioned Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup
Left over leeks from the previous recipe is what inspired this recipe. I selected leeks in What’s In My Fridge for more recipe ideas since I still had some on hand with no clue what to do with them. Who doesn’t love a good chicken noodle soup? This was enough for two people to eat lunch off of for about a week. I only made this once, but another go-to soup recipe. I’ll never buy canned soup again with this option available.
Have you tried any of these WW recipes? Which ones would you try for yourself?
