On my way home from work Tuesday, I needed to make a quick stop at my local Walgreens and, as always, I took a stroll thru the beauty aisle to see if there was anything new on sale. I came across the Wet-n-Wild MegaLast nail polish that were on sale for 99 cents so I decided to pick up a few colors.
This MegaLast polish claims to provide 5 days of chip-resistant wear due to the resin polymer system, which creates increased color adhesion to nails. This polish is also calcium and mineral fortified to rebalance and prevent nail discoloration. Not bad for just $1! I picked up three colors to try – Tropicalia, Private Viewing, and Club Havana.
The one color that really caught my eye was Club Havana, a bright mango color, so I decided to try it first. As I opened the bottle, the first thing I noticed was the large applicator brush. This full-coverage brush is supposed to make for one-stroke application, and for the most part it did. It took a minute for me to get just the right amount of polish on the brush, but I can say that the larger brush did speed up the painting process.
Here is how the color turned out after two coats. I honestly could have gotten an opaque look with just one, but I like to apply the first coat lightly and then build from there. I absolutely love this color for Spring and Summer – it looks amazing against my skin completion. What do you think? What’s your favorite Wet-n-Wild MegaLast nail polish? Do tell!
