Thank you to Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA for inviting me and my family & friends out to the Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg’s Day of Play. In exchange for sharing our honesty experience at the resort, we received complimentary Paw Passes which gave us access to freely enjoy the resort’s activities. I invited my best friend Stephanie and her kids, ages 8 and 4, and my friend Shalleen who has 2 pre-teens.
About Great Wolf Lodge
Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA offers both indoor waterpark fun and dry-land adventures for the entire family. Your stay includes access to the waterpark, kept warm at 84-degrees year-round. Access is always exclusive to our guests for shorter lines and non-stop fun. There’s something for everyone such as kid-friendly activities, a range of dining options, an adult-friendly wine down service, and more all under one roof.
Room rates start at $199 per night. Two days of access to the resorts water park, numerous family activities and amenities are included for each night!
Our Paw Pass Experience
When we arrived and received out complimentary Paw Passes, the kids voted to go bowling so we headed to Ten Paw Alley. This is the in-house bowling alley for toddlers, teens and adults! Shorter lanes and smaller bowling balls make this a perfect way to spend time together as a family. No special shoes required.
Next, we headed to the Northern Lights Arcade to play games and win some prizes. The Northern Lights Arcade is packed with incredible games to challenge and entertain the entire family. Lights, action, and energy fill the arcade with excitement as you’re surrounded by the newest and best games, and great prizes, too. The more you play, the more you can win! And it’s open 24-hours so the fun never ends.
We enjoyed lunch at The Loose Moose Bar & Grill, which is the resort’s alternating buffet. Breakfast is full of farm fresh eggs, apple wood smoked bacon, signature wolf waffles, organic yogurts, granola and fruit. Seasonal family lunches roll out lighter fare, and dinners overflow with globally-inspired entrees including market salad options as well as fish and seafood from sustainable suppliers. Main courses can be followed by a variety of delicious desserts.
After lunch, we toured the lodging area of the resort. Suites can sleep 4-8 people depending on which you select, and have the cabin feel with all the comforts of home. Regardless of the size of your family or the size of your budget, there are options that will work for you.
Next up, we changed into our swimwear to enjoy the indoor water park and outdoor pool. The indoor water park is what sets Great Wolf Lodge apart from other resorts – regardless of the weather outdoors, the weather inside is always warm which makes it great for visiting any time of the year. There are areas of the waterpark that are good for all members of the family regardless of their age or skill level, so no one feels left out. Since the weather was so nice outside, we decided to spend some time at the outdoor pool as well.
When we visited Great Wolf Lodge in August 2018, I was very pregnant with my son. I was excited to see what they had to offer, and now that Mr. Blakes Jr is here, I’m looking forward to bring him! I know our family will have a blast there, and so will your family.
