For anyone who is a makeup novice, using an airbrush kit to apply your makeup sounds intimidating. In this post, we’ll show you how to apply airbrush makeup, and you’ll be surprised just how easy it is. We are glad to partner with Luminess Air to bring you this how-to tutorial, and if you want to try a Luminess Air, be sure to use this link bit.ly/luminessglam exclusively for the Naturally Glam Fam and enter code 740510877 to receive 15% off of your purchase.
How does airbrush makeup work?
Airbrush makeup is sprayed on the face or body through the Luminess Air stylus as a fine mist of color that gently covers the skin, giving the appearance of a flawless complexion. Spraying micro-dots of Luminess Air makeup on the surface of the face looks more natural than traditional makeup because it glides smoothly over your skin’s surface and doesn’t exaggerate your pores. This process allows the airbrush makeup to conceal while enabling your skin to breathe.
What makes Luminess Air better than liquid, mineral and powder makeup?
Traditional foundations can look obvious, caked-on and always feel like you are wearing makeup. Airbrush makeup leaves a light, seamless blend of color over the skin, creating the illusion of a perfect face while allowing your true skin tone to show through. The ability to mix Luminess Air Airbrush foundation colors for individual custom blends is unsurpassed, resulting in the most natural look that will cover any of your skin imperfections. Luminess Air product is also natural, mineral and water based and completely oil-free, and it lasts up to 10 hours.
How to apply airbrush makeup?
We must say that the Luminess Air airbrush makeup kit was very easy to use. We appreciated the variety of foundation shades that were available for women of color. Have you ever tried airbrush foundation? We’d love to hear about it.
I’m not really a make up person, eye shadow and moisturizer is all l use daily, but this is helpful for when l have a “do”. Nice tutorial that even l could follow :-).
I’d be interested to see the darker shades. I’m rich & “chocolatety.”
Although I’ve seen the TV commercials, I didn’t know this product came with moisturizer and blush!
I have always wanted to try using airbrush makeup but I was afraid that I would look a mess. Thanks for the tips.
I wouldn’t mind trying airbrush makeup, but I will most definitely need someone to apply it for me.
It’s so easy! You can do it!
I don’t wear a lot of make up but an airbrush look would be good for special occasions or filming videos.
That came out really nice!! Great job! I know a few people who actually prefer airbrush. And no, maybe you can try adding your normal foundation to the stylus to see how it goes.
No, you definitely can’t put regular foundation in the stylus. The foundation is very watery; I’m sure regular liquid foundation would be too thick.
I used airbrush make up one (or let me say I let someone else do it) and me personally I didnt like it. I will say that was some years ago…so maybe the foundation selection has gotten better and the process applies more naturally!
This is a beautiful, fresh look. I have very oily skin so I’d bet that it would work very well for me. I’m not sure how good I’d be at applying it though 🙂
Thanks for the tidbit, I just started doing foundation about a year ago. Lord knows I would look a crazy hot mess trying to look natural. hahahaha
I dont wear a lot of makeup, so the fact that airbrush makeup is so light is appealing. I’d try it.
Great tutorial! I have never considered using airbrush makeup in the past but after watching your video I am certainly open to giving it a try! 😀
Thanks for sharing. I’m not that advanced with my makeup application, so I don’t know if I’ll take the airbrush plunge just yet 🙂 It looks really nice on you. Great job!
