Having a mustache is not really what I’m here for. There – I said it. If you’re reading this post, my guess is that you have some unwanted hair yourself, so let’s just call it even. For as long as I can remember, using a razor to shave unwanted hair for all I knew. Then I was introduced to waxing when I went to a spa with a girlfriend of mine. But that can get expensive, so I went back to using a razor. But shaving every couple days, and getting cut, are some of the things that annoyed me about shaving. When Emjoi reached out to me about taking their eRase epilator on a road test, I was game. Operation Bye Bye Mustache was in effect!
About Emjoi eRase
Emjoi epilators quickly and effectively remove unwanted hair from the body and face, with minimum discomfort. The top selling corded, dual speed, eRase e60 provides all of the critical elements of the Emjoi epilation experience in a slightly smaller and more affordable format. The highly effective eRase, with its 60 tweezer action discs arranged in skin-tautening dual opposing heads, removes hair from the root (as short as 0.3 mm), leaving the skin smooth for up to 6 weeks. Its Erase Glide Technology enables the user to glide it back and forth, or in a circular motion over the skin to remove hair in seconds, while also being gentle enough to remove individual facial hair on the chin or upper lip.
The eRase e60 also comes with a sensitive attachment for the epilator head, to remove hair where the user is most sensitive, including underarms, while remaining easy to use and reliable. The eRase is able to remove most hair on the first pass, therefore reducing possible skin irritation and saving precious time while achieving silky skin.

How the Emjoi eRase Worked for Me
I know what you really want to know, so let’s just get right to it. Does it hurt? Well that depends. If you think tweezing hurts, then it hurts. It feels just like tweezing, but you can remove the hair a lot faster than tweezing by hand. Compared to waxing, it depends if you’d rather deal with the big pain of pulling out a lot of hair at one time, or little pain of pulling out hairs along the way. For the least discomfort, epilation is recommended immediately after a warm bath or shower on dry skin.
This is my before and after pictures. With the sensitivity guard on the epilator head, less hairs are pulled out because less of the epilator head is exposed. The upper lip is kinda an awkward spot, but I think it did a pretty effective job of removing my mustache. You can still see some hairs, but they are so short and fine, you can only see them because I have the camera so close to my face.
I’m definitely sold on the eRase, especially if it lasts the promised 6 weeks. I plan to try my underarms next! I love that it comes with this nice carrying case, so you can take it with you in a travel bag if you need to. Since I’ll be going to Puerto Rico in a few weeks and wearing a lot of swimsuits, I plan to take this with me in case I need to touch up.
