With the change of seasons comes the desire to freshen up your surroundings. For this fall, that means tackling the hottest new do-it-yourself (DIY) projects. Whether you’re ogling Pinterest, checking out the latest home décor blogs or hooked on home improvement programs, there is no doubt that DIY projects are having a moment, particularly among Millennials. More than half of DIYers under 35 are spending more than $1,000 a year on projects.
Whatever the reason, most people agree that building something with your own hands is always a satisfying feeling and can add value to an object’s worth. The idea of putting your own effort into a project makes it extra special, whether it’s a project for your home or one that you might give as a gift. I personally always feel like I’m not very crafty, but I love the look and feel, as well as uniqueness of DIY projects.
DIY Maven Erica Domesek knows all the DIY tricks to help guide you through the latest home DIY trends and projects of the season. We got a chance to interview Erica, and in this video, she’ll show you some of her new, creative DIY ideas that any DIYer can complete. One that she recommended for me was a cool accessory rack, and I can’t wait to try it!

Interesting interviewed with Erica Domesek about DIY Project. Great share.
I have seen so many DIY things on Pinterest (although I mostly on there for education and travel). There are some great ideas that I have seen and I have considered doing some things myself. I had no idea that millennials were spending $1000 on DIY, that is an interesting figure.
Sewing my own clothes used to be my favorite way to DIY but it has been so long since I did that. Well, that and making my beauty products.
This was a cool experience to have and nice you were up to the challenge. I tend to think I’m not crafty enough for DIY projects, but I imagine its fulfilling to do make something beautiful with your own hands. Thanks for sharing!
I am so not a DIY person but I know I can do this. It’s easy and I love easy and chic
I love DIY!! I’m currently preparing to upholster my dining room chairs. I really like the accessory racks.
I loved that wall rack, and painting it pink topped it off.
I made joy and faith jars that I used to capture things that made me happy and things that I was praying for in 2014. I should bring them back out for 2016.
That would be a great idea.
I’m not a DIY person but more power to those who are. Point me to the nearest store and I’ll purchase it after it’s been made 😏
That’s me too! I so want to try though just for fun.
That is so cute. I am NOT a handsy person but I admire all of the DIYers!
