When these events roll around, I always want to look my best since I know cameras will be flashing. But sometimes its hard to figure out just what to rock that will be fashionable yet comfortable since I’m often on my feet the entire time. For this particular event, I’m looking for Fall-friendly pieces that are chic and trendy yet appropriate for a Sunday afternoon. So here are some looks that are inspiring me as I decide what to wear. The “Evening Wear & Couture Collections” show was the finale show of VA Fashion Week. This show was held at the Selden Arcade art gallery in Downtown Norfolk. Again, there was a nice crowd and I got to sit next to some nice ladies, one who happens to be a fashion blogger as well.
The fashions featured in this event were couture mens, womens, and formal designs. Some of the designers included Deanna DeMonch, Willie Hall, Stephon Stallings of Vintage Hazel, Beverly Chapman of Faerie AthenaOriginals, Mariah Clark, Tarique Tabbani, Evgenia Luzhina-Salazar, and Lizzi London.

The “Sophisticate Ready-to-Wear with Couture Highlights” show was the 4th fashion show of VA Fashion Week. This show was held at the Selden Arcade art gallery in Downtown Norfolk. There was a nice crowd, and the venue was perfect.
The fashions featured in this event were jewelry, ready-to-wear fashions and swimsuit designs. Some of the designers included Mikasa La’Charles, Gohar Avazyan Beaver for AB Couture, Ivelisse Nieves, Brehon Williams, Jennifer Carpenter for J.Carpentier, Joanna Quinn of Joanna Carrie Designs, Sehar Peerzada, Gwendolyn Wilson and Willie Charles.

Tonight’s “Fashion Rocks!” show was the first fashion show of VA Fashion Week. This show was held a Peabody’s nightclub at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. There was a nice crowd, and the drinks were only $1.50 – I had two!
The fashions featured in tonight’s event were jewelry, urban and swimsuit designs. Mixed in with the models were performances by K’Bana Blaq and Blessing Leji. Some of the designers included International Rebel Club, Greek Fashion, JB5 Designs Swimwear, and Ma’Mitons Eco Fashion.
