I participated in the Mary J Blige The London Sessions album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided a free album to review but all opinions are my own. We keep it real at Naturally Glam.

The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J Blige has changed up the game once again. With eight multi-platinum albums, nine Grammy Awards (let’s not forget the 31 nominations), a 2012 Golden Globe nomination, and four American Music Awards, Mary J Blige is a global force in music. With such acclaimed success, what else is left for Mary to do? In an effort to shake things up and step out of her musical comfort zone, Mary spent a month in London writing and collaborating with some of the most exciting and popular artists in the UK – including Sam Smith, Disclosure, Emeli Sandé. The result is her highly anticipated album The London Sessions – which will be released on December 2, 2014.

An inspirational and powerful performer, Mary J Blige knows the ups and downs of life. I’ve seen her perform live, so I know first hand the passion she brings to everything she does. The London Sessions is full of meaningful moments and uplifting messages. Get ready for some “Therapy” in the form of a new Mary J Blige album! Pre-order or order the album on iTunes and Amazon.

The London Sessions album is definitely a testament to Mary J Blige’s more global appeal. Mary covers all the bases in this album, which I especially love because I like all types of music genres. You definitely still get the urban feel that you count on from Mary like ‘Right Now’, but she also has upbeat dance tracks like ‘Pick Me Up’, ‘Follow’ and ‘Nobody But You’ (which I know will have a line dance created in its honor). ‘Whole Damn Year’, ‘Worth My Time’ and ‘Not Loving You’ get into your feelings as you can tell Mary poured her emotions into those songs.  ‘Doubt’ is that inspiration anthem track that Mary always brings that gets us excited to take on the world.

The London Sessions gives you a modern, european vibe on classic Mary J Blige realness. This is definitely an album I would put in the road-trip rotation. Be sure to pre-order or order the album on iTunes and Amazon today. Check out ‘Right Now’ off The London Sessions below now!
