Makeup/Beauty Favs:

Milk of Magnesia – got this tip from XGOLDN on YouTube (Ambrosia). I’ve been using MOM on my T-zone to keep oil at bay and it has worked wonders.  And for $3.99 for this huge bottle, you can’t beat it!

elf Cosmetics Beauty Book Neutrals Edition – this eyeshadow palette is my absolute favorite right now because of its versatility and compactness.  This palette is great for daytime and nighttime looks, which makes it a go to when I’m in a rush or traveling.

Almay Pure Blends Blushes/Bronzer – these I got from the Dollar Tree for $1 each, and I love them.  I am using the bronzer in Sunkissed as a highlight, and the blushes are in Honey and Orchid.  They are more in the red/raisin family and are a great alternative to the peachy blushes I tend to go for.  They are all 98% natural!

Sinful Colors Nail Polish – my favorite color this month is Hazard, which is a neon peach/coral color.  It has a matte finish as opposed to a shimmery finish, which I like as well.

elf Cosmetics Foundation Brush – even though this is labeled a foundation brush, I have been using it to apply concealer in my under eye area for a brightening affect.  I’ve also used this to apply concealer to define my brows.  Great alternative to using my fingers!

L.A. Colors Lipgloss – another Dollar Tree find, this has been my go to lippie.  The soft peachy color is great for my skintone, goes with everything pretty much, and smells like bubble gum :)

Hair Products/Tools:

The Wet Brush – I really enjoyed using this brush.  It moved thru my hair with ease, expect for the fact that at times my hair would get tangled around the bulb tips on the end of the bristles. I would choose this over the Tangle Teaser as the bristles are longer and more flexible.  I saw a lot less hair in this brush after I was done detangling.  For more information, go to http://www.mywetbrush.com

Curls Coconut Sublime Conditioner – This conditioner rocked my world.  I got 3 uses out of one bottle, and I successfully finger detangled using this conditioner, much to my shock and amazement.  I never thought I would be able to finger detangle my own hair, but this conditioner really had great slip and moisturized my hair.  The smell is amazing as well – I wanted to eat this stuff!

Curls Cashmere Curls & Gel-les’c – I used these two products in combination for a stretched wash-n-go, and really liked the turn out.  Cashmere Curls is a serum that added moisture and lots of shine to my hair, while the Gel-les’c was a liquid gel that offered a light hold but defined my curls well.  I also used both to retwist my dry hair throughout the week to continue to stretch my hair while adding moisture and shine.

Extras:

Be Bonafide Magazine – this magazine is an up and coming natural hair magazine, based out of Brooklyn, NY.  They were sponsors for the Glamorous Life Natural Hair Show by providing free copies of their first edition to all the VIP attendees.  They also attended the event as well, and I really appreciated them coming all the way to VA to show love to me and all those who attended.  Inside the magazine, you’ll find DIY hair product recipes, hair care and styling tips, event features as well as interview with your favorite naturalistas.
