I’ve been eyeing the super huge hair bows, and decided to try it out with a scarf I found at my late grandmother’s house. Whenever I find things of hers I try to incorporate them in my look.
So here is how it turned out. I like it and I can’t wait to try it with other scarves & colors.
For those who aren’t from the area, I’m sure you’ve heard of The Neptunes, Pharrell, Timbaland, & Missy Elliot – but you might not now that they all are from the 757 where I was born & raised, and currently reside. But what about the many other hip-hop artists in the area – who shows them love & support? Ms Blendz of course!
Hubby & I decided to head on out to the 4th Annual Blendzville Hip-Hop Awards, which was held at Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, VA. Ms Blendz is a staple in the 757 for all things hip-hop, and has done a great job initiating this awards show to recognize the local hip-hop artists in the area that you may not hear on the radio.
Here are some pics from the night:

One of my favorite parts of the show was the Cypher – similar to what’s done at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Below is a bit of the all female MC cypher. Enjoy!
